About us
Since 1997, Eco Torarica has been a green oasis in the heart of Paramaribo, where nature and comfort come together. As part of the Torarica Group, the hotel offers tranquility, luxury, and sustainability in a central location. Guests enjoy serene gardens, locally inspired cuisine, and relaxation by the river. The Eco Garden supplies fresh ingredients for the restaurant every day, according to the “Garden-to-Table” principle. Eco Torarica is the place to be for those seeking relaxation, nature experiences, and Surinamese hospitality.
Local discount
Kow Gwe is an initiative of The Torarica Group to support local residents with discounts on hotel rooms, food & beverages, wellness, and massages. This program focuses on improving quality of life amid economic challenges. The discount applies to all three hotels and emphasizes Torarica's commitment to community connection and inclusivity. A valid Surinamese ID or residence permit is required to take advantage of the offer. Discounts cannot be combined with other specials or promotions.
Building the future
Torarica Group is investing in the future of hospitality with the renovation of all rooms at Torarica Resort and refurbishments at Tangelo. Tangelo has now been completely renovated! Traveling to Suriname
Travelers to and from Suriname are advised to get vaccinated against yellow fever at least 10 days before departure. This is mandatory for travelers from risk areas, and a valid vaccination certificate (the yellow booklet) must be presented during checks. In addition, an E-visa or E-tourist card is mandatory for travelers who require a visa. These documents can be requested entirely digitally via the official website and are provided by VFS Global in PDF format by email.
